I can't visualize in my mind just what the Sunbeam layout looks like, But
in general, engines usually have the oil jet squirting at the timing chain
right at the point where it contacts the sprocket. This provides the
maximum oil film to the chain as it revolves around the drive sprocket.

I've searched through the manuals, but was unable to find any reference to
the timing chain oil jet orientation.

The engine builder has it oriented on my new rebuild at approx the 5:00 to
5:30 o'clock position. Other words...close to straight down. Looking at
the system, I'm thinking it should be oriented more at the 4 o'clock

Thoughts? What is the appropriate position of the oil jet?
