_RUBBER EXHAUST BOBBIN - LARGE (#RB1)_
(https://www.europaspares.com/EXHAUSTS/EXHAUST_MOUNTS/RUBBER_EXHAUST_BOBBIN___LARGE___RB1__2780.html)

I recall my Alfas had something similiar to what you describe--see my
attachment. This is an early 1970's Alfa 1750 GTV exhaust hanger.
International Auto Parts in VA. has them.

As I recall the original type hangers (rubber block with a bolt out each
side straight across) were very hard to find. None of the brit-car
suppliers
had them when I did Frank's car. after some searching I found a
transmission mount for an early 60's Ford Falcon at the local NAPA store
that was
almost exactly the same dimensions and worked quite well as a substitute.

Subj: [Sunbeam Talbot Email List] Alpine Exhaust pictures
Hi gang,
I remembered that I had a group of pictures taken of an original
exhaust set up from my first 53 Alpine. If someone still needs
reference pictures for the exhaust routing, etc let me know and I
will send this. By the way I believe the Bamforth's can provide the
proper system and hangers.
Regards,
Dave Reina
