[Sunbeam Talbot Email List] Lucas DM2-P4 Distributor

Hi all!

I've been looking into obtaining parts for the Lucas DM2-P4 distributor (for
my '54 Alpine).  Within that same model, I understand that Lucas modified
some of the internal parts (different plate, different points and vacuum
advance changes).  The 'old' system used points that are connected by 2
screws.  The 'new' system used points connected by 1 screw.  I have been
told that the points using the 2 screws are not easy to come by.
Unfortunately, that is the type that I have!

Has anyone else come across this issue?  Before making any changes to my
original system, I thought I would check with the team and find out how
others have handled this issue.
