The original distributor is not fitted in my car. In its place is a 
40707D model, which is similar to the 25D series Lucas (and easier to 
get bits to service.)
I have not been able to figure the curve/settings for the original, but 
I do have numbers for the replacement.

Rotation CCW
No advance before 475 RPM
at 850RPM,  1.5deg
at 1950RPM  8.5deg
at 3000RPM 13deg
Point gap, the usual .015" I suppose.

How does this compare with the original spec?
