Alf, The Mk111 crank would work. The Mk V1 [six] 1955 humber hawk used the same engine, so I would assume the crank is the same especially knowing the Rootes Group love of "parts bin" manufacturing. If all else fails I have a couple of serviceable cranks  If we can figure a way of shipping that won't double the national debt.  Pete

Thanks to WES and Bob for the information on full flow oil filters - I have another problem, my friend has a broken crankshaft on his MK. 1 Alpine. If we can't source another,can anyone advise whether the crank from a Humber Hawk will suit or maybe a MK. 3 Alpine?
