While I cannot vouch for the exact measurement, I can tell you that there was end play, thus indicating the clutch was fully disengaged whilst slipping.

Wes, Just got back in town and catching up on emails. I have reprinted shop manuals which have wiring diagrams in the electrical section. $40 including postage. The slipping clutch is probably wear,assuming that the linkage has the correct adjustment [ one inch free play at the pedal]
When you adjust the clutch pay attention to the angle of the adjusting lever. It should be a half inch above horizontal give or take a bit. Clutch judder can come from an incorrectly adjusted linkage. Let me know if I can help more.                   Pete-------------- Original message --------------
