Ric - it's not clear who you are writing to. If to me, I have a 1953
Alpine with the floor change but it was on the car when I got it and the
only problem I have is with the cable link from lever to g/box which
needs to be millimetre perfectly adjusted to select all gears.

I presently have the inner cable out of the car and I'm comparing it
with a used one that Rod Allen sent me. My original (?) is 0.375" diam
and is a Bowden type cable (i.e. smooth surface). The one Rod sent is
0.440" diam and is of the twisted wire (like a m/cycle control cable)
but, being thicker, seems stiffer than the old cable. The 'new' inner
cable just fits inside the outer but I will have to drill out the two
bolts at each end which secure this inner cable.

Good luck in your search. With all the S-T 90's rotting in the UK, I
would think that a floor gear change with its rod and cable would be
available from there for a reasonable price. You will find the fitting
instructions on Bob Hamilton's website which shows some pages I scanned
covering the fitting of a Kneer gear change.
