[Sunbeam Talbot Email List] Gearbox

Hi,

I just finished a phone conversation with Dave Reina in Brooklyn. I called
him because I live in New York City and am putting a 1953 Alpine back
together that has gearbox linkage problems. Dave mentioned that you have
changed your transmission to another unit with a floor shifter. The main
problem with my car is that the linkage was modified by the previous owner
making it impossible to properly adjust. Do you save the linkage that was
removed from your car? If so would you be willing to sell it to me? I guess
giving into temptation I would ask how do you like your new unit with the
floor shifter? Is that something I should seriously consider? Thanking you
