Hi Wes the petronix for A Sunbeam Talbot /Alpine is a LU241   that is 
Negative earth, very good,I have an Air Cond in my 53 Alpine, I fitted it 
using all new components but in fabricating it to fit etc etc took many 
hours but I must say  it works fine and the two left hand outlet are hidden 
behind the glove box lid on my right hand drive car. I am in Australia, is 
would be almost  impossible to explain to you how it was done and how I did 
it, saying that the air compressors was a new unit made for a Toyota Echo 
vehicle. good luck Mal Clark.
