[Staowners] Side screen restraints

Alf.the wooden blocks I refer to were fitted in the bottoms of each side of
the tail shaft tunnel.blocks about 1"to 1 !/4" thick and fitted snugly even
the undersides were tappered at the tail shaft tunnel,the one on the right
,or the smaller of the two had a wooden partition,were the leg of one of the
side screen fitted,so as it wouldn't slide across,both these blocks were
secured by wood screws, the elbow shaped piece's you mentioned on Bill
Hendersons car,were for the header rail to sit in,but I dont think that
workerd very well, so on later cars there was a metal bracket screwed on
vertically just above the tail shaft tunnel to hold the header rail in
place,I dont have any of the pieces out to take photos,but can certainly
show you at the Nationals in June,Mal Clark.
