Alf.the strap you are referring to, the top bit (longest) is attached to 
your two top holes by means of a saddle which the strap goes around,and 
hangs down towards the floor, the lower buckle is also held on by a saddle 
which is screwed onto the wood insert inside the lower box where the side 
screens live,this lower buckle has a short piece of strap attached is only 
roughly 4" long, I produced the top piece from a ordinary trousers belt,and 
I had the lower bit,if you are missing the lower bit I may have another and 
a couple of saddles,regards Mal Clark.
