Robert,
    I used to own that car. Actually spoke with the owner last night. He 
had it restored and has no idea what price it should sell for. If I had 
money I might repurchase but I originally bought it for $150.00 USD in 
1963 !!

    I am in need of transmission gears (first and reverse) gears for my 
current 1951 DHC and would appreciate any source for repair.

There was an interesting article in my hemmings car mag, about a guy 
rebuilding english trannies.  He showed some pics of layshafts where a 
new first gear end was created and welded onto an existing 
layshaft....betcha he could do so for our boxes as well, maybe our 
first gear is the same as some other english car....if anyone wants a 
scan of the gear or article email me - jrdeja at verizon.net
