Good point, Roy - I was going to "rod' the fuel line with some sort of 
flexible wire to make sure there was no residual gum in the tube and I 
will now add a visual inspection of the whole length.

Another mod. will be to add an electric SU or SU type, low pressure pump 
on the bulkhead in line with the mechanical pump and with a switch under 
the dash. This will give me a back-up and also the capability to quickly 
prime the carb. after the car has been in the garage for a while.
