[Staowners] Floor shifters

Hello gang!

I have been having a look at the emails regarding the floor shifters that have been used on our Sunbeams.
I have a shifter assembly that I picked up and have rebuilt the floor mounted unit and it seems to be in good working order now.  I have some of the bits and pieces and now need the rod and lever for the gear selection operation.

Now I thought mine was a Castle shifter, but after reading Pete's message to Mal I think I may have the USA version, the Kneer unit.  The only  identifying information on it is the "Patent Applied for, 23570-56".   I have the information on the Kneer set up that is on the STAO info site and the drawing of the assembly looks like the one I have. 

Now from that drawing it appears that the neutral selector arm is the original lever.  But the gear selector arm appears to be different with the arm going to the left side and over the main case?  Is this the case?  If that is so then I need the dimensions and lay out of that arm so that I can fabricate one.  As to the rod , it appears that I have one that will work but I need the length to confirm that it is the correct.

If anyone can confirm that I have a Kneer unit and supply me with a rough drawing and dimensions for the gear select arm or any other  part that is not stock I would greatly appreciate the info.

It is so good to have a group like ours that has so much info.  I belong to other clubs but I must say that I enjoy this STA group even though we are so widely spread through the world.
