[Staowners] Old Films

The STAR regalia offers a fascinating DVD of old 16mm films taken by
STAR's founder Gerry Simonds in the early 1970s. One of them records a
visit to the Tramway Museum here in Derbyshire in about 1975 and
contains footage of the club cars attending, including the car I owned
at that time, a white MK IIA saloon MXE 706.

Having scanned the crowd scenes, rather like "Where's Wally", I
eventually found myself and 7 year old son applauding the
prizewinners.
