Hi George
Burlen Fuel Systems carry alot of parts for almost
every carb. Its worth an email to them.

Having put up with an over rich mixture in my Mk 1
Alpine for too long,
I have decided to do something about it. Alan Orpet
now has my carb in
pieces and finds that it is a Rapier carburettor body
(in very good
condition) with some of the Alpine parts transferred
across but three
parts were not ex-Alpine and are needed to make it run
properly:
- the main discharge jet (or emulsion tube) part
L2073 and unique to
the Alpine
- main (metering) jet .059"
- slow running jet .044"
the trouble is that the main discharge tube is not
marked with a number
so the only way to be sure of getting the correct one
is to find a
worn-out Alpine carburettor and get this part out of
it.
Does anyone know where these parts or an old Alpine
carburettor can be
found?
Thanks
George
Cognac
