Hi Everyone,
Having read Mals bit about antiroll bar rubber bushes reminds me
that when I replaced mine (on a saloon (sedan) I used the modern
polyurethnae variety. They are unaffected my oil or anything else. They
also appear to be better at the job as there is no flexing or
compression in the part as there is in rubber. I obtained mine from
Revington TR in England (tel 01823 698437 plus international code) The
part number for saloons /coupes is SPF 1450-14k for the bush (14k means
14 mm) and SPFO984k for the bracket, which amazingly is the exact size
no holes needing to be drilled. If you convert the Alpine roll bar size
to metric I know that they have that size. It comes complete with a
special grease for initial fitting no service thereafter and will last
for aver. The only thing is that they are not cheap I recall about
GBP24-00
All windscreen rubbers (front and rear) are available from
Bamforths. You have to cut them to length and glue together, ( no mean
feat I must say) I have heard that you need a special glue but I ised
super glue. I think it would pay to ask. Something to do with the
silicone in the rubber strip I believe.
Kind regards to all, Off out
tomorrow Sunday to a Classic Car Show in aid of our lifeboat service.
Hope the weather holds!
