[Staowners] Alpine Trim Rings

Hi everyone ... I have been having a discussion with Bob H. about wheel  trim 
rings on Alpines
according to the parts manual all Alpines came with them.
My question is, Did the Specials come with them?
There is no mention of them being deleted in the manual
However I saw no evidence of them when I stripped the wheels.
perhaps someone out there might know the answer?
