Hi Roger, thanks for reply,I have read the Manual, and it described a mod carried out because of rattle from that area under rough conditions, appears you push the bushes in 15 thou each side to spread the legs of the wishbone out by 30thou,so I think you are correct that the bushes can be pushed out as you describe, seems a bit of a drama, just to replace the two grease rings, maybe easier to ensure it is keep well greased thanks again Mal Clark.

Hi Mal,
You are partly right in that the WSM does not describe how to dismantle, nor does the Humber Hawk or Super Snipe WSMs (same part). However, it must be possible as there are Dufor kits to replace the bushes and pin. I would try to support the space between the two bushes and press the whole pin bush assy out one side enough to unscrew the first bush and pin, and then push the other bush back out. I am sure you do not need to cut and re-weld.
Cheers,
Roger

Hi everyone, may be someone out there may know more on a problem that has arisen, The top wishbones on the Talbot, and Alpine each side a threaded trunion where the top cross arm screws into, according to the workshop manual there are shims and an grease rubber ring each side,to be able to replace the grease ring/seal it has to be dismantled, but there appears no way to dismantle without out first cutting the welds on the outer washers, and getting into it that way,the manual doesn't appear to describe dismantling these, almost a factory assembled component, not serviceable, and order a complete unit, they certainly can come apart, someone must to have come across this, any one help thanks Mal Clark.
