Hi everyone

I am a newcomer to this board/list. I first purchased a decrepit Sunbeam Mk
III in about 1971 for the princely sum of £75 which I ran as my only car for
some months. A year or so later I acquired a one owner MkIIA in reasonable
condition which was my every day transport for some time until as a 30 odd
year old with a growing family I was forced to exchange it for some modern
crap.

I have recently taken the plunge again, this time in the shape of another
MkII saloon in tip top condition (I think) and have settled down to skim
through this archive list. I must say that everyone here seems to be pretty
decent fellows (and gals) but I guess that a fair number are old codgers
like me. I will probably be forced to retire in a couple of years time when
I reach 70, and I would like some feedback/re-assurance from those similarly
afflicted that it is true that life really begins at 70 if your are a
Sunbeam Owner.

Cheers

Bill Hall
