Greetings All,

I am seeking the critical dimensions for the dummy pinion shaft and Crown
Wheel centre jig (Churchill Tool # RG 329, page 4, section G, Fig 2 of the
Workshop Manual) used to set the correct pinion position and shim
requirements for the Talbot Diffs.

The dimensions needed are:

1. The distance from the rear bearing shoulder of the dummy pinion
shaft to the rear end face where the spacing between the centre jig and the
dummy pinion end is measured.

2. The diameter of the centre jig shaft itself.

Once these are known, I can machine up my own version of the Tool (RG 329)
and set up my Mk111 differential to exact factory specifications.

If anyone can assist me (and others) with this information I would be most
grateful.

Best wishes to all fellow Sunbeamers and thanks in anticipation.

Rowan Charrington.

Darwin, Australia.
