Hi Ray,

As Bob Hamilton mentioned a few chat pages ago, I would pipe in with
my thoughts about a good tire for our cars. I agree with what Steve
Cota recently wrote, that the Coker classic radial is a really good
tire. It has a fairly wide whitewall ( 1 5/8" I believe) and its
diameter is within 1/8" of the original equipment Dunlop Fort tire.
Another good feature is that the tire is designed to use a radial
tube which was still called for on the early 50's Sunbeams. I would
say that the only downside is the price. The last time I bought a
set they were $185,, plus the cost of the radial tube. I have bought
three sets over the past 7 years for three different cars and have
been satisfied with them.

By the way, is the car that you bought from Conrad R. out in the St.
Louis area?
