[Staowners] Bolting up the Column Change mechanism

Alpine Mk1 - Can anyone tell me where the bracket #48 on Page 98 Plate A 
  of the Parts manual fixes to? Does it fasten to the Rear Engine Support Plate ?
   
  Also, the column change cross shaft #46 on page 98 Plate A locates in 
  that bracket at one end and the other end in the Ball Socket Bracket #A55.
  Does anyone know where this A55 bracket fastens to?
   
  Does the column change cross shaft #46 run through the top hole in Item #6 on page 136 - the Cross Tube as well or not ?
